The Move - Looking On
Releasesd 14th April 2008

Released in late 1970, the third Move album and the first to feature Jeff Lynne, found the band at the peak of their musical imagination. Now superbly remastered and expanded to 67 minutes with seven bonus tracks, including previously unreleased and rare material, it features the Roy Wood-penned hard rock 45s Brontosaurus and When Alice Comes Back To The Farm.

Often regarded as the "joker in the pack" in The Move's catalogue, with several heavy, progressive rock epics, Looking On can also be seen as the most relaxed and confident expression of the maverick Roy Wood re-energized by a partnership with new creative foil and similarly talented songwriter Lynne, formerly of Birmingham underground favorites The Idle Race. Together they revelled in the freedoms available to the late '60s pop musician, employing a wide array of instruments and production ideas

* The Move's third LP expanded to double its original size and featuring the top ten hit Brontosaurus and 7 bonus tracks, the majority previously unavailable
* Remastered from original master tapes by Rob Keyloch at Church Walk Studio for the finest ever sound quality
* Stylish wallet-style packaging with 16 page booklet designed by Grammy award winner Rachel Gutek and containing rare and previously unseen photographs plus detailed, authoritative notes by Mojo's Mark Paytress
* Far and away the most comprehensive and lovingly assembled reissue of this classic album that documents the first flowering of the Roy Wood / Jeff Lynne partnership that would later result in the incredibly successful E.L.O.
